ISLAMABAD: The Petroleum Division has increased the price of petrol by Rs3.05 per litre and high-speed diesel by Rs5.37 per litre, according to a notification issued for September 11.
Following the latest increase, the new price of petrol has been fixed at Rs370.80 per litre.
The price of high-speed diesel has also been raised to Rs398.04 per litre after an increase of Rs5.37 per litre.
The new prices will come into effect from September 11.
According to the notification, petrol has become Rs24.94 per litre more expensive over the past four days, while the price of diesel has increased by Rs19.99 per litre during the same period.
The latest increase is expected to add further pressure on transport costs and prices of essential commodities, potentially intensifying inflationary pressures on consumers.
