RAWALPINDI: Security forces killed 13 terrorists belonging to Indian proxy Fitna Al Khwarij during two separate intelligence-based operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on January 13 and 14, the Inter-Services Public Relations said on Thursday.

According to the military’s media wing, an intelligence-based operation was carried out in Bannu district following reports of the presence of khwarij. During the operation, security forces effectively engaged the location, and after an intense exchange of fire, eight khwarij were killed.

In a separate operation conducted in Kurram district, security forces again engaged khwarij during a fire exchange, resulting in the killing of five militants.

The ISPR said sanitisation operations are underway to eliminate any remaining Indian-sponsored khwarij in the areas.

It added that the relentless counter-terrorism campaign under the vision “Azm-e-Istehkam”, approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan, will continue at full pace. Security forces and law enforcement agencies remain committed to eradicating the menace of foreign-sponsored and supported terrorism from the country.
